Brewed by The Local Beer Company, the craft arm of Antillia Brewing in Saint Lucia, this Citrus IPA is a dry-hopped UK-style India Pale Ale infused with a blend of fresh local citrus, combining two thirds sour orange and one third local rough lemon. Described as beautifully complex and arguably the most unique artisanal beer in the Caribbean, it strikes a remarkable balance between malt, hops and tropical citrus.
Amber in colour, it opens with a hint of citrus on the nose that deepens as it warms. On the palate the tropical citrus builds alongside firm hop bitterness, with the malt providing a solid backbone throughout. Best served in a wide-bowled glass to fully appreciate its complex aromas.
