Château Ormes de Pez 2018 - Saint-Estèphe, France

Owned by the Cazes family of Château Lynch-Bages since 1939, this Cru Bourgeois estate is one of Saint-Estèphe's most reliable names. The 2018 blends 50% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, aged in 45% new French oak. Generous and expressive, with black cherries, cassis, Indian spices and a waft of woodsmoke, full-bodied with velvety tannins and excellent ageing potential through 2036.
