Kirin Ichiban, whose name means "first and best" in Japanese, is brewed using the Ichiban Shibori method, a process that uses only the first press of the wort, drawing out the purest and most flavourful portion of the malt. The result is a 100% malt beer of exceptional clarity and smoothness, free from the bitterness of secondary pressings.
Pale golden with a fine white head, it offers a clean malty aroma with subtle floral notes. On the palate, it is smooth and refreshing with a gentle sweetness, a light hop bitterness and a crisp, clean finish. A natural match for sushi, sashimi, tempura and delicately spiced Asian dishes.
