Montagny only makes white wine, and this is one of its most exciting expressions. Les Charmelottes faces south-southwest at high altitude on marl and white limestone, with vines planted in 1939. That age shows in the glass: expansive and concentrated, with orange blossom, citrus and a stunning mineral freshness that carries all the way to the finish. James Suckling gave it 96 points.
