Quatre Vin Onze - Cour-Cheverny, France

From Philippe Loquineau's Domaine de la Plante d'Or in the Loire Valley, this white is made from Romorantin, a rare grape variety grown exclusively in the Cour-Cheverny appellation, introduced to the region by King François I in 1519. Pale gold with aromas of citrus, acacia and flint, it delivers a fresh, well-balanced palate with notes of dried fruits, almonds and a subtle smoky minerality. Best served with seafood, white fish or goat's cheese.
