From Domaine Georges Vernay, run by Christine Vernay in the Northern Rhône. 100% Syrah from 40-year-old vines within the Condrieu appellation, declassified to IGP as red wine is not permitted under the Condrieu AOC. Granite terraces, biodynamic farming, no new oak. Crushed red fruits, saline freshness and a persistent mentholated finish. Only 6,000 bottles per year.
