Nikka Single Malt Yoichi 10 Year Old, Japan

From Yoichi Distillery on Hokkaido island, founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky. One of the last distilleries in the world to use direct coal-fired pot stills, a technique that gives Yoichi its distinctive bold, maritime character. Aged 10 years in oak casks, with notes of stone fruits, hazelnut, light peat, caramel, dried fruits and gentle smoke.
