Michel Couvreur Special Vatting Peaty Malt Whisky, France/Scotland

A vatting of three peated Scottish single malts aged between 12 and 22 years, matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks in Michel Couvreur's underground cellars in Bouze-lès-Beaune, Burgundy. Rich and complex, with aromas of Jerez wine, leather and fine tobacco, leading to a silky palate of iodine, liquorice, dark fruits and a long smoky finish.
