Château d'Agassac 2010 - Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois, France

One of the standout vintages from this historic estate in Ludon-Médoc, founded in the 13th century. A blend of 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, aged 12 to 15 months in 60% new oak barrels on two gravel terroirs. The 2010 delivers classic left-bank character, with notes of dark plum, cassis, blueberry, tobacco and mineral complexity, backed by silky tannins and a long, focused finish. Now at peak drinking.
