Fontagard Finish Cask Bourbon Barrel Cognac-Based Spirit, France

A blend of cognac eaux-de-vie aged between 15 and 30 years, this spirit from Distillerie de Fontagard undergoes a double maturation: first in French oak casks in the traditional Cognac style, then finished in American bourbon barrels. This final period in bourbon wood adds an extra layer of vanilla, caramel and toasted oak that sets it apart from a conventional cognac. Founded in 1878 in Neuillac, in the heart of the Petite Champagne, Fontagard has supplied some of the great Cognac houses for generations before developing its own range.
