Château Malartic-Lagravière 2013 - Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé, France

One of only six Pessac-Léognan estates classified for both red and white in the 1953 Graves classification. The 2013, one of only 35% of the harvest selected, blends 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot from deep gravel soils. Dark plum and graphite on the nose, with blueberries, licorice and a hint of barbecue smoke, medium-bodied with a rich, concentrated palate. Drinking beautifully now.
